ECO-SUSTAINABILITY

The holiday Village Rosapineta Sud always has attention for the environment and respect for nature

In recent years, lighting has been replaced, opting in favour of LED systems with an energy saving of 75%.

The installation on the roof, near Arena, of photovoltaic panels for the production of 20 KW of electricity

Since the beginning of 2000 our environmental commitment has always been high, so much that we have been promoters of waste recycling.

Rosapineta Sud has decided to make its own contribution by making its beach and swimming pool smoke-free, in order to improve your holiday experience.

Best Practices

Camping Rosapineta Sud has embarked on a path of sustainability by adopting the Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s standard for sustainable tourism, discover here our sustainability policy.

To achieve our improvement goals we need your support: knowing the area and its history and discovering what makes it special is the first step to living it with respect and awareness. Here are some tips on how to do this during your holiday!

Discover the destination’s sites of cultural and historical interest

If you include places of religious worship such as churches or others in your visit, remember to wear appropriate clothing, so that shoulders should be covered and shorts not too short. You can take a towel or scarf with you to cover yourself when you enter a church. Also, always check the regulations of the places you will visit and respect the rules indicated to help safeguard the site of interest.

Support local craftsmanship

To take home with you a souvenir of your trip to the Po Delta area, choose to purchase local handicrafts characterised by the use of local products. Among the typical creations that recall tradition you can find wicker baskets, sorghum brooms and painted tiles. Another  element that has always been part of the daily life of the families that lived in this area is ‘tivaro’, i.e. clay, which was used by adults and children to create all kinds of objects, from bricks to musical instruments. The most representative of the local craftsmanship are undoubtedly the ocarinas, small wind instruments with a crystal-clear sound and modelled on the likeness of animals, once created to liven up village festivals and for the amusement of young and old alike. For more than a hundred years, the Fecchio family on the island of Ariano has carried on this tradition to this day, welcoming visitors to their workshop to watch and participate in the various stages of clay working that give life to these artistic creations. Have a look at their website for more information on visits.

The local flora is also the protagonist of artistic creations: you can find bookmarks, postcards, and original pictures, made with dried flowers and wild herbs, or even essential oils and cosmetics formulated with wild or locally grown plants. If you are in this area between June and July, don’t miss a visit to the lavender fields of the Ca’ Mello oasis in Porto Tolle, where you can not only buy products created with this fragrant plant, but also admire the magnificent purple fields in bloom (more information here).

Get to know the flavours of the land and the sea

The Po Delta is a land rich in biodiversity also from a gastronomic point of view. Its strong point is undoubtedly represented by the products of fishing and mussel farming, a tradition handed down from father to son that makes it possible to cultivate precious seafood with an authentic flavour in our lagoons and sacs.

Another excellence of the area is the cultivation of rice, which has allowed the recovery of lands reclaimed from the waters, and today offers a product with unique properties.

There are, however, other excellences that stand out for their unique flavours on Delta tables: honey, present with different varieties (from the classic millefiori honey, to acacia honey, beach honey, sandbarna honey… to the recent lavender honey); Chioggia IGP radicchio, a product of excellence from the Rosolina area; Gin Caleri, a unique product already appreciated by leading experts; the sweet Delta melon and many others.

Taste traditional dishes

Through gastronomy one can relive the history of an area, its culture and its people… In fact, the cuisine of the Po Delta is characterised by its most traditional products such as rice, fish and vegetables, but it is also influenced by the Venetian culture along with other more modern ones.

Spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with clams) and zuppetta di cozze (mussel soup) are among the best ways to enjoy the delicious seafood cultivated in the lagoon, while polenta (a cream made with corn flour), tagliatelle or risotto are excellent accompaniments to enhance the flavour of typical Delta inlands products such as mushrooms, truffles and pumpkins. Lovers of sweets can’t miss the traditional dry desserts, such as pumpkin pinza, Esse from Adria or Perseghi Rossi.

Buy the best seasonal products from local producers

Farmers, fishermen, beekeepers,… the local producers of the Po Delta are the first to know that respecting the environment around us and its seasonality is essential for quality products. If you want to take home a piece of local cuisine, choose to buy from those who care about our territory (you can find a list of producers here) and prefer seasonal products (fruit and vegetables, but also fish!).

Fish markets are the right place to find fish freshly caught in our sea every day by fishermen who care about the environmental protection of the marine ecosystem. The good news is that you don’t have to go far: once a week the fish market comes directly to our camp!

Take part in popular festivals

Village festivals are able to combine the culture, traditions, and gastronomy of an area with fun for young and old, so if you are lucky enough to be here at the right time of year, you can’t miss them!

Rosolina celebrates its patron saint on 16 August with the Antica Sagra di San Rocco, a festival of music that will fill the streets of the centre for the entire weekend.

If you are here in July, on the other hand, you cannot miss the not-too-distant Sagra del Pesce di Chioggia (Fish Festival of Chioggia), a festival dedicated to the flavours of the sea and the lagoon, rediscovering the traditions of fishermen where the town is transformed into a large open-air restaurant.

If you would like to know about events or cultural and environmental initiatives that will take place in the Po Delta area during your holiday, you can consult the complete list here.

Visit the destination’s natural sites

The Po Delta is a unique territory, created by water and the work of man, where the best way to enjoy the beauty of nature is through slow tourism experiences.

For those who want to relax, the sandy beaches of Rosolina are the ideal place: natural beaches with all comforts, flanked by a large pine forest, healthy and safe environments for adults and children.

Those who prefer movement will be able to choose whether to explore the area on foot or by bicycle, thanks to countless bicycle touring itineraries equipped with all services, or also by sailing on one of the river cruises that cross the many waterways of the Po and its Delta or by canoe.

Animals and plants lovers will be able to admire them here by taking part in a birdwatching session, a photo hunt among the hidden oases, or by visiting the Porto Caleri Botanical Garden.

Whichever way you choose to visit the Po Delta Park, please remember that it is an environment that must be respected and protected to keep it intact for future generations. That is why care must be taken in the behaviour to be adopted, remembering that the action of one individual, if repeated by thousands, can become a serious problem. Here are some rules of behaviour to follow:

  • Do not abandon waste but throw it in the waste bins or take it home with you
  • Do not abandon cigarette butts which, besides being waste, could cause dangerous fires
  • Admire flowers, insects, plants and fruits but leave them where they are and do not pick them up
  • Use bicycles only on designated roads
  • Choose to camp only in designated areas
  • Lower your voice so as not to disturb the wildlife

Best practices to respect the environment

Do you know protected species?

All species of mosses and lichens, grasses and shrubs that have a natural and spontaneous distribution in all territories subject to the hydrogeological constraint of the region, such as the Po Delta Regional Park, are considered protected.

It is forbidden to collect protected species or parts of them, discover them here.

For specimens of spontaneous flora other than those listed above, the total daily collection per person of a maximum of 1 kg of wild asparagus, mosses and lichens in their fresh state and six flowering stems is permitted.

Damage to, uprooting or removal of the plant or part of it is prohibited at all times.

Would you like to pick some mushrooms or truffles?

Mushroom picking in the Veneto Po Delta Regional Park territory is governed by a regional regulation with the aim of protecting the balance of the delicate local ecosystems.

To pick mushrooms in the Park territory, you must follow these instructions:

  • You must be in possession of the appropriate authorisation for mushroom picking, which can be purchased from the Park Authority at the following online portal
  • It is possible to collect a total of up to 2 kg of mushrooms per person per day (of which no more than 1 kg of particular species, including Porcini, Pioppini, Finferli, and other species listed here)
  • For non-residents, mushroom picking is permitted on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and on all public holidays during the period from 15 September to 15 December
  • It is prohibited to pick mushrooms at night, from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise
  • Mushrooms must be cleaned briefly at the picking site and transported in rigid, ventilated containers
  • It is forbidden to damage or destroy mushrooms left on the ground or the ground itself
  • It is forbidden to pick mushrooms at the Coastal Botanical Garden in Porto Caleri (Rosolina)
  • It is strongly recommended NOT to pick mushrooms you do not know: poisonous mushrooms create health problems and can sometimes be fatal.

Truffle hunting and gathering in Veneto is free in woods and non-cultivated land, provided that these are not reserved for the exclusive use of the owner (indicated by a special sign).

In order to collect truffles, gatherers must be in possession of an appropriate suitability card. Harvesting authorisations are valid throughout the entire national territory. The card is issued following a special examination.

The search must be carried out with the help of one or a maximum of two dogs, and digging is permitted with the possible use of the “vanghetto” or “vanghella” and must be limited to the point where the dog started it. Holes opened for truffle extraction must be immediately afterwards filled in with the previously removed earth and the ground must be levelled.

Truffle picking is prohibited during the night, from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise. Truffle picking is permitted at different times depending on the species, as indicated here.

Would you like to practice sports fishing?

To engage in amateur sports fishing in the free inland waters of the Veneto region (which also include lagoons), you must purchase a sports fishing licence (more details here). To engage in amateur sport fishing at sea, simply register free of charge on the website of the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry by clicking here.

Amateur and professional fishing is permitted without time restrictions.

It is forbidden to fish with any gear from above bridges open to public vehicular transit and at a distance of less than 10 metres, both upstream and downstream, from dams proper, ladders, trestles, sluices and water pumps. The distance to be respected concerns both the position of the angler and the position of the bait or gear being fished. The angler should take care that there are no bathers in the chosen fishing area and in the area of hooks/bait/gear.

Fishing in frozen waters and during complete or incomplete artificial dryness of reservoirs or watercourses is prohibited.

An angler arriving at a later time must keep a distance of at least 15 metres from another angler already on the spot, so as not to hinder the angler’s exercise.

Furthermore, the angler must respect and take care of the chosen fishing spot, cleaning the area at the end of the operation, remembering that it is forbidden to leave bait, fish or rubbish along the banks and in the water.

The amateur-sport fisherman is allowed to catch no more than a total of 5 kg of fish, molluscs and crustaceans per day, even if they are of different species. However, the angler may not catch more than 5 salmonids per day. The sale of the catch is prohibited.

For reasons of protection and preservation of fish fauna, the catching of certain species during certain periods is completely forbidden (see Art. 29 of the following Regulations for details). Fish caught during prohibited periods or smaller than the minimum size must be immediately returned to the water with the utmost care.

It is permitted to use natural and artificial bait for fishing, with the exception of fish eggs, blood and its derivatives as well as animal entrails. It is forbidden to use explosive, toxic or polluting material, or the use of electricity as a means of killing or stunning fish.

Spearfishing is only permitted at sea and in inland maritime waters (Zone C), i.e. in inland salt and brackish water basins (such as lagoons), exclusively by free diving. Spearfishing is prohibited from one hour before sunset to one hour after sunrise. During the dive, the spearfisherman is obliged to signal his presence by means of a float.

How to deal with wildlife?

The rule to remember is that wild animals should be left alone. The Po Delta Park is rich in fauna that fascinates tourists and photographers. This fauna is part of the Park’s heritage and if disturbed may decide to ‘move in’ and abandon its home.

Different species have different breeding seasons and locations. Do not try to get close but observe the animals from a distance so they can eat peacefully.

Remember that the use of a drone must be authorised and under no circumstances can it disturb the animals to obtain special images.

Dogs are allowed in the Po Delta Park, but always on a leash and in accordance with current regulations. Dogs are not allowed to roam freely around the Park, because they may encounter wildlife that, even if not directly attacked by the animal, may suffer great stress.

Every moment of your holiday you can do something to make it a little more sustainable. Don’t worry, it is not difficult! First of all, respect the campsite rules. Then, here are some simple things to keep in mind, both while on and off the campsite, that can contribute to the health of our planet:

  • Limit energy consumption: turn off the light when you are not in the bungalow, remember to close the window when you turn on the air conditioning, do not leave electrical appliances on when you are not using them.
  • Don’t waste water: don’t leave the tap running when you don’t need it, wash your clothes and towels only when necessary and not necessarily on a daily basis
  • Choose means of transport with the least impact: if you can, reach your destination by public transport and leave your car at home! Please remember that in high season, the Rosolina area is very crowded and it becomes very difficult to travel by car, both because of the traffic and because of the limited availability of parking spaces near tourist attractions. Once at your destination, prefer to travel by public transport or by bicycle to explore the surroundings. If you want to rent a vehicle locally, look for an electric alternative.
  • Don’t contribute to noise pollution: respect wildlife and your bungalow neighbours, turn down your voice and music and enjoy the magical sounds of nature.
  • Limit emissions when you eat: even the choice of what we eat can make a big contribution to limiting polluting emissions. Try to limit excessive consumption of meat and fish, as these are the foods that cause the most emissions during their production. When you do decide to eat them, remember to prefer local products, and this applies to everything you eat, even better if it is organic and in season.

Accessible tourism experiences in and around Rosolina

Rosolina Mare has two bathing establishments that are also accessible to those with motor disabilities, as they are equipped with means and services that make it as easy as possible for wheelchairs or those with physical disabilities to move around, so they can enjoy a relaxing and peaceful seaside holiday. These are Bagno Azzurro, in Via delle Campanule, and Bagno Primavera Beach, in Piazzale Europa.

To immerse yourself in the Po Delta and get to know its natural environment at close, various types of boat trips are offered with boats that are also accessible to people with impaired mobility (you can find the accessible boat trips available from the operator that has an agreement with the Po Delta Park here).

SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

SUSTAINABILITY POLICY OF THE TOURIST VILLAGE ROSAPINETA SUD

Starting in 2023, we have decided to embark on a path towards greater sustainability, following the international standard of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. This scheme encourages an assessment of the sustainability of structures not only from the environmental point of view, but also from the managerial, social, economic and cultural point of view.

At Villaggio Turistico Rosapineta Sud we are committed to continuously improving our sustainability, by increasing the positive impacts and reducing the negative impacts generated by our activities. This document summarises our sustainability objectives for the next 3 years.

THE STRUCTURE

The Villaggio Turistico Rosapineta Sud is a tourist accommodation overlooking the coast of Rosolina Mare (blue flag since 2015), in the Veneto Regional Park of the Po Delta. It consists of 263 housing units (bungalows, mobile homes and apartments). The Village is immersed in the pine forest and follows the typical morphology of the territory, characterized by high heterogeneity and biodiversity, recognized by UNESCO in 2015. On the coast, in front of the Village, there are the fossil dunes of Rosolina, which we are committed to preserve by limiting our impacts.

The area of Rosolina Mare is subject to environmental and landscape constraints that have been adopted by the Municipal General Planning Plan. The Village complies with these constraints, so its structures fit well into the surrounding environment, without obstructing the view of the dense and lush pine forest.

ACCESSIBILITY

In the Villaggio Rosapineta Sud there are 3 housing units (mobile homes) accessible to people with disabilities. The property is accessible in all common areas (reception, beach, swimming pool, restaurants, supermarket, arena, playgrounds) as it is free of architectural barriers. The beach reserves for guests with disabilities the first row of umbrellas with adequate flooring and equipment (raised sunbeds), as well as a job chair for bathing.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TERRITORY

People at the centre

The Tourist Village Rosapineta Sud condemns all forms of exploitation, harassment and discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion or disability. For this reason it has a code of ethics visible at the link insert link.

Support for the community

Our Village is part of a community and supports the people who are part of it: first of all we support with our donations: Doctors Without Borders, the Diocese of Chioggia, the Vincenzo Bellini Philharmonic of Rosolina and the USD Sports Association of Albarella.

During the summer, the Villaggio Rosapineta Sud hosts trainees from local institutes with the formula “alternative school/work” to bring young people closer to the world of tourism, giving them the opportunity to practice work experiences in accordance with the path of study they are undertaking. In particular, we welcome students from the Liceo Linguistico di Adria who will be able to broaden their knowledge of foreign languages (especially German and English).

Since 2022, we have been engaged in the recruitment of people with disabilities with the U.O.S.V.D. Disability (Working Integration Service) project, in collaboration with the ULSS of Adria, offering them a job in line with their abilities, under the supervision of tutors who actively follow them in the training project.

Over the next 3 years we have set ourselves important goals to support the local community. Firstly, we will continue the company policy (already in place) of recruiting staff from neighbouring areas by organising training courses to develop the skills needed for work in the tourism sector. We will continue and expand the offer to young trainees in local schools.

Our employees, the most valuable resource

Our commitment to the territory also involves hiring local staff, thus helping to keep the community alive. Our employees are the most valuable resource we have in order to guarantee a high-quality experience and therefore we invest in their in-house training. The staff of our Village represents a big family and only by creating a safe, respectful and serene working environment can we guarantee their satisfaction and that of our guests. We respect national labour law standards and guarantee opportunities for advancement.

Starting in 2022, our employees can benefit from a Corporate Welfare Plan in collaboration with TRECUORI s.p.a. S.B. We firmly believe that this action can provide them with greater satisfaction and support.

The Rosapineta Sud Tourist Village has as its objective, for the next 3 years, to further improve the working conditions of its employees. Among the many projects we want to: encourage and promote smart working for back-office staff, expand the company’s existing welfare plan, provide state-of-the-art work equipment and tools, make working hours more flexible, encourage communication between employees and management, improve work processes and promote collaboration between departments.

Local and solidarity-based supply chain

Within the village, catering and supermarket services are managed by independent partners. Rosapineta SUD has started a dialogue with them in order to guarantee the offer of traditional dishes using local products in our gastronomic offer.

In our Supermarket D7o we try to give value to the products of the territory and the Veneto Region identifying them as “talking shelves” with labels bearing the words “LOCAL PRODUCT”- “A DUE STEPS FROM HERE”.

Some examples:

– Biscuit bread, casing and related products of the Panificio f.lli Tiozzo di Cavanella d’Adige (VE)

– Bomboloni alla crema from the Pic Bar Snc Pasticceria Laboratory of Sant’Anna di Chioggia, an old historical recipe handed down in tradition.

– Local Salumi, soppressa, cooked ham and raw ham from Salumificio Bovolenta di Ariano Polesine (RO) also recognized by the Park Authority of the Po Delta as a producer of local specialities short-chain – rice Carnaroli, Arborio, Vialone Nano and ready risottos of Risicoltori Polesani Societa’ Consortile di Taglio di Po (RO), already produced by I.G.P. and known throughout Italy.

– The Venetian wines of the nearby Euganean Hills, Serprino, Raboso, Marzemino, of various local wineries and various Prosecchi I.G.P. of Trevigiano.

it is possible to find organic and solidarity products well marked by packaging and specific label, such as eggs sil Biraghi grated pecorino and cane sugar.

In our restaurants “La Chiesetta” and “Pepe Rosa”, the culinary offer includes typical dishes based on local fish, such as mussels from Scardovari, “bibarasse” from the Delta and local vegetables, first of all radicchio di Chioggia. In addition, since 2023, the offer has been renewed with the inclusion of vegetarian and vegan, sustainable and ethical proposals.

Once a week, in front of the supermarket, we host the fish market, with the direct sale of fresh fish, from ITTICA ROSOLINA, a way to introduce our guests to local fish and to encourage the activities of the area.

We collaborate with local companies providing our guests with information, leaflets and posters.

Our guests can find on display the products of “Lavanda Polesana” company based in Isola della Donzella that produces cosmetic products from its own lavender culture. The company also organizes experiences in its fields which we promote in our bulletin board.

Also available are the products of the Moretto farm of Porto Tolle, including different varieties of rice, the Bionda del Delta del Po Veneto”, light beer of handcrafted rice, and casloti simple or girandole dicasela, biscuits with typical recipes and gluten free.

Our resort is committed to promoting the use of local products and increasing their use in its restaurants and services.

We firmly believe that adopting this policy is beneficial for the community, for the environment and for the quality of the products we offer our guests.

To achieve these objectives, we will promote events and initiatives to introduce our guests to the culture and gastronomic tradition of the area where we are located. We want to make our guests and our community aware of the importance of making conscious and responsible choices, supporting local production and promoting the sustainable development of the territory.

OUR ATTENTION TO THE PRESERVATION AND PROMOTION OF LOCAL CULTURE

The historical and cultural heritage of the Po Delta increases the value of the territory and therefore needs to be protected and promoted. Our support for local culture is reflected in many ways.

Firstly, we focus on raising the awareness of our guests, on the importance and protection of our cultural heritage. For example, we support with a financial contribution the band of Rosolina, the Vincenzo Bellini Philharmonic, which boasts a long historical tradition in our municipality. It was founded in 1908 and we want to continue to support it, firmly convinced that it is a cultural association for everyone to keep alive. Within our village is planned a concert of the same to introduce it to our guests, making them participate in our local traditions.

Secondly, it is essential for us to promote knowledge of the history and traditions of cultural heritage, so that people and our guests can appreciate and use them in an informed way. At the disposal of our guests there are informative brochures, printed and online about the main cultural sites of our area including:

  • Archaeological Museum of San Basilio
  • National Archaeological Museum of Adria
  • Regional Museum of the Reclamation of Ca’ Vendramin
  • Ocarina Museum, Grillara
  • Museum of the Cathedral of Adria

We also rely on local partners such as Raffaello Navigazione, the Consorzio Delta Pool Service and the IAT of Rosolina Mare to promote excursions between culture and nature in the Po Delta and the Venetian Lagoon.

Finally, among the events promoted and carried out by the Village there are examples of local traditions such as the Feast of Bread in the Municipality of Loreo, between historical re-enactments, tastings and workshops. In August we also promote the Sagra di San Rocco in the municipality of Rosolina, a historical tradition that we support with posters inside the structure and the sale of tickets for charity fishing organized by Caritas diocesan section of Rosolina

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

Green and efficient procurement

Reducing environmental impacts starts with the purchase of ecological goods:

  • FSC certified A4 paper and Ecolabel
  • PEFC and Ecolabel certified A3 paper
  • eco-friendly pens at reception, also used as gadgets for guests, which have replaced traditional disposable plastic pens

The small disposable tableware in our restaurants is made of biodegradable material

We also pay particular attention to limiting unsustainable packaging and non-reusable products:

we use water dispensers with empty bottle to make

We sensitize our guests to drink water from the taps of the cottages by means of stickers attached near the sink

refillable soap dispensers are available in the bathrooms of common areas and in workplaces

we provide employees with thermal water bottles to reduce the use of disposable glasses

Our facility is committed to becoming ever more environmentally friendly over the next three years, with the aim of reducing the consumption of natural resources and promoting the use of sustainable products and services. Among the actions we intend to take, we can mention:

-Increased use of certified products for cleaning and maintenance of common areas

– Increased use of certified supply paper products for consumables;

– Reducing the use of paper by adopting digitalisation and online communication practices

– Raising awareness among guests and staff on the subject of eco-sustainability, through information campaigns and training activities.

All these actions are part of a social and environmental responsibility perspective, which pushes us to always look for new solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our business. We believe that small daily actions can make a difference, and that together we can build a more sustainable future for all.

Energy saving and clean energy

Our activity is attentive to energy consumption, both in terms of saving and converting to cleaner energy:

We have solar panels that provide us with 20 kw of electricity. These panels allow us to produce clean, renewable energy, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.

lighting has been replaced with LED systems with an energy saving of 75%

As for the management of the heating and air conditioning systems, we have decided to use control systems that allow us to use the air conditioner only if the guest is inside the dwelling unit, with automatic shutdown. In this way, we are able to reduce energy consumption without compromising guest comfort.

Some of our bungalows have been recently renovated guaranteeing a high level of thermal insulation

Reducing energy consumption is an objective that all of us must pursue in order to protect the environment and limit the effects of the climate crisis. For this reason, our structure has decided to take a number of actions aimed at reducing energy consumption in the coming years.

Installation of new panels to increase the production of renewable energy

Replacement of all traditional light bulbs with LED bulbs, which are more efficient and consume less energy.

Replacement of all air conditioners by 2030 with new high efficiency systems

By 2023, we want to continue with the thermal insulation of the bungalows, reaching the efficiency of all the structures.

By 2026, we have decided to convert our energy supply using only certified renewable energy

In short, our hotel is committed to reducing energy consumption, adopting a series of targeted actions and promoting a culture of eco-sustainability among our guests. We are convinced that only through concrete and sustained commitment can we help to preserve our planet for future generations.

Sustainable mobility

Transport has a major impact on emissions, so we are trying to reduce them and encourage sustainable mobility.

For our guests

The property can be reached by public transport and the nearest bus stop is about 300m from the village. On our website, in the “territory” page, you can find detailed and up-to-date information. In addition, our village is well connected with the cycle route Veneto I3 “La Via del Mare” which, starting from Rovigo, connects the entire Venetian Lagoon.

Within our village we have at our guests’ disposal the internal bike rental with about 50 traditional bikes and 3 electric bikes.

Within the village, there are 2 columns for charging electric cars.

For our employees

The internal staff, to move around the structure, has at their disposal 4 electric golf cars that allow us to reduce noise and air pollution.

In 2023, an electric van, a Toyota Proace, was also purchased, available to the maintenance manager, for travel in the area.

In a world that is increasingly concerned with the environment and sustainability, purchasing an electric vehicle is a smart and responsible choice for anyone who wants to reduce the environmental impact of their daily activities. The environment is an issue that affects all of us and our future. The need to reduce greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions in general is growing, and one possible solution is the use of electric means of transport.

To further enhance our focus on sustainable mobility, we are committed to:

Increase the availability of charging stations for electric cars by 2030;

Raising awareness among our guests regarding the use of public or low-impact transport

Reduction of waste

We monitor the waste produced by our facility as well as implement actions for its reduction:

We have established smoke-free beaches, preventing the spread of cigarette butts

We inform guests and staff about proper waste disposal as per municipal regulations

We are equipped with ecological islands inside the structure with differentiated bins and clearly visible multilingual instructions

By 2026, we are committed to achieving 80% separate collection by raising awareness among our employees, guests and partners.

Reduction of emissions

The actions taken in the areas of efficient procurement, energy saving, waste reduction and sustainable mobility make it possible to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of our facility. The climate crisis is also having important effects on our territory, which is why we have decided to work to limit as much as possible our inevitable impacts linked to the direct activities of our structure.

Light and noise pollution

Noise and light pollution is an increasingly widespread problem, which can have adverse effects not only on human health, but also on the animals living in our areas.

In particular, many animal species are sensitive to sound and light, and excessive exposure to these forms of pollution can cause stress, sleep disturbances and orientation problems. Some animals, such as migratory birds, may also lose the ability to navigate properly due to excessive night lighting.

Several strategies can be adopted to reduce the impact of noise and light pollution on animals. For this reason, over the next 3 years, we will strive to minimize the impact of our activities in order to protect the local fauna. We are already using LED lighting and will further reduce light pollution by avoiding beams upwards and by equipping our night lighting systems with automatic shut-off systems. In addition, we will continue to limit noise pollution to short moments of animation to ensure the well-being of fauna and guests.

Clean water

To keep the water cleaner, we use the amount of chemicals strictly necessary to guarantee a high level of cleanliness, without waste due to the use of dispensers.

By 2026, we are committed to increasing the number of environmentally friendly products used in cleaning and caring for greenery.

Install automatic detergent dosing system in the laundry by 2024

Water saving

The Delta develops between the Po and the Adige, two of the largest rivers in Italy, which flow here into the Adriatic. Despite this abundance of water, the climate crisis has started to cause several water problems, including high levels of drought in some periods and the increased penetration of salt water into the hinterland, causing serious damage also to the primary sector. That is why we are committed to reducing consumption:

– Presence of jammers in the showers

– Presence of flow reducers in taps

– Presence of drip irrigation in green areas

– Change of towels and sheets only on request and for a fee. The linen, not being provided by the structure free of charge, allows us to further limit waste.

By 2030 the facility is committed to reducing its consumption compared to 2022 by:

Installation of water saving devices to be implemented to those already in possession, including double flush toilets

Continuous and attentive monitoring of water consumption and immediate repair of any leaks

promotion of education on water saving through proper training of employees and informative material for guests

Pool water reuse system

Conservation of biodiversity, ecosystems and landscape

We take care of our territory, respecting the flora and fauna that have their home here:

We promote the destination’s guidelines for visiting natural sites

We inform our guests about the correct interaction with animals through appropriate information on our website

We collaborate with expert guides of the area

We have provided shelters for the animals, such as the bat huts.

WWF

To improve our commitment to conservation, we are committed to activating projects with local associations.
